Take that, Deadline!

I have been working on charms for a charm swap I signed up for with a group of artists going to Art & Soul in Hampton in a few weeks. We are mailing them in, and the deadline for arrival is April 16th.

Those of you who know me well may want to sit down for this next part.

Despite having to rethink my design due to a disastrous resin pour, I just put my charms – neatly tagged and packaged, I might add – into the hands of my neighborhood UPS store. Yay me!

I can’t remember the last time I signed up for anything like this and didn’t end up sweating deadlines and paying ridiculous overnight shipping fees. I wonder if this means I’m getting organized in my old age? Let’s face it… probably not.

These are great, and, congratulations on the deadline! A side note: I had the same thought writing someone today about we hit an age where we look at our talents, some un-tapped for years, and start again…interesting. Perhaps it is universal truth! All of those years in lessons or practicing something, then, put on hold for various reasons, now to be re-discovered? ❤
