Going in Circles

One of the first posts I made when I started this blog almost 3 years ago was about a studio renovation that I could never seem to get around to. And now here I am after a house renovation, the illness and deaths of my parents, and a year of grieving to the exclusion of all else in life… once again working on my studio.

It’s a little different this time.

First, it’s a different studio. I am moving into my parents’ house. I decided that I wanted to keep their home and figured that it was silly to have the space to move out of my tiny backyard studio and not do it. So, while we were off on a beach vacation last month, our handyman moved all of the boxes and baskets and cabinets from my tiny studio into my parents’ house – hereafter to be known as the new studio. I have managed to clear out about 2/3rds of their things and move in the vast majority of my supplies. Now I get to finish clearing out and start moving in.

It is exciting and daunting… and a little sad. Whatever else it may be, it is a new beginning.

I’ll keep you posted.
